Randy brings over twenty years of experience in legal talent management to his work at Volta. He serves as a coach, career counselor, trainer and consultant supporting partners, counsel, associates and other law firm professionals and administrators. His work touches upon advancements and transitions, interview and job search techniques, leadership, professional identity, business development and relationship management, wellness and all topics facing working parents.

Randy has held leadership roles in law firm recruiting and professional development at AmLaw 100 firms in New York City and Denver where he was known as a trusted, skilled and impactful advisor. In these roles he had the opportunity to advise law students and attorneys. He led life-cycle recruitment and development initiatives including hiring, onboarding, retention, training and coaching. Randy successfully built coalitions of internal recruiting and development teams, legal recruiters and law school career service professionals. Prior to joining Volta, Randy also coached lawyers, law students and other professionals through his own practice.

Randy completed his coaching certification through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). He is also a Certified Practitioner of the MBTI Step I and Step II Instruments, as well as a Master Practitioner to deliver the Energy Leadership Index® assessment tool. Randy is also trained and certified in Mental Health First Aid. Randy holds B.S. degrees in both Human Resource Management and Psychology from Syracuse University. Randy has served as President for both the New York City Recruitment Association (NYCRA) and the Denver Area Legal Recruiters Association (DALRA). He has held numerous positions and leadership roles with the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) including Nominating Committee, Conference Planning Committee and two years on the New Career Models Task Force. He is an experienced panelist and presenter on all topics surrounding recruitment and professional development and regularly speaks at conferences, law schools and bar associations.

Randy and his wife, Lisa, enjoyed many years together in New York City before relocating to Denver, Colorado where they now live with their two children, Evan and Siena.
